A CLEARER LOOK AT YOUR SWIM

Why are swim laps, heart rate or routes missing?

A saved swimming workout does not guarantee every measurement. Check source fields and permissions, and understand what an analysis app can and cannot recover.

A workout summary and its detailed measurements are different layers of a record. Seeing a swim in your history does not guarantee readable laps, heart-rate samples or a route for that session.

Look for the specific field, not just the workout

Start by checking the original workout and its available details. Different sources may provide different measurements. A session can have a duration and total distance while lacking the lap or stroke information needed for a particular chart. Compare the same field in the source rather than assuming that every analysis view should be populated.

Permissions apply to data types

Review the Health read permissions relevant to the missing metric. HealthKit authorization is granular, and an app cannot simply tell whether read access was denied. Swimee uses Apple's native permission system; its usage-statistics setting is separate. Turning statistics on does not unlock Health access, training metrics or Pro rights.

Pool lengths and open-water routes are different

For pool recordings, pool length and available stroke or lap data provide context for length-based analysis. A route requires recorded route information; a pool swim should not be assumed to have an open-water map. Check which type of swim was recorded and whether its source actually contains the field you expect.

Use what is present; do not manufacture the rest

Swimee analyzes available records and does not invent missing measurements. Pro unlocks supported analysis features, not new sensor samples. If details are absent in the original recording, keep them marked as unavailable and use the remaining metrics. For a source/app mismatch, contact support with versions, recording source and the affected field, without sending private health records.

Check the sources and try the tools
