1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Swimee is a swimming fitness analysis app developed and operated by Guangzhou Chenyu Technology Co., Ltd., under the iiisle studio brand. This policy explains the app's data practices and separately describes this website. Contact us about privacy at contact@iiisle.studio.
Swimee does not require an account and contains no advertising. Optional Google Firebase usage analytics and crash diagnostics are both off by default. You can enable or withdraw each option independently in Privacy & Data.
2. Apple Health: read-only, on-device analysis
With your permission, Swimee reads swimming workout start and end times, duration and source; distance, pool length, laps, stroke style and count; heart rate and recovery, active energy and MET data; water temperature, underwater depth and open-water workout routes. Available fields depend on your source recordings and permissions.
These records support workout summaries, charts, comparisons, trends and goals. Swimee requests read access only and does not write to Apple Health. Health records are processed on your device and are not sent to Firebase or Swimee-operated servers. We do not use health data for advertising, marketing, tracking, data mining, credit or insurance decisions.
3. Local storage and deletion
Imported workout caches, saved venues, goals, milestones, achievements, appearance settings and notification preferences are stored locally. The current version does not provide Swimee-operated cloud storage or CloudKit synchronization.
Uninstalling the app removes its local data. This version does not provide an in-app clear-all-data action. Uninstalling Swimee does not delete the original records in Apple Health. Revoking Health permission prevents future reads of the affected types, but does not remove previously imported caches. After reinstalling, complete onboarding again to import workouts. Device backups are governed by your Apple settings.
4. Location, Apple Maps and notifications
Swimee requests location access while the app is in use only when you choose to search for nearby swimming pools. It does not continuously track location in the background. Apple Maps may process search terms or a representative coordinate from a recorded open-water route to search for venues or retrieve place names. The operator does not receive an identifiable location profile from Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notification permission is requested only after you enable new-workout notifications in Swimee settings. The preference is stored locally. You can manage Health, location and notification permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
5. Optional usage analytics and crash diagnostics
If you enable usage analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase receives fixed categories of feature use, sample experience and subscription-flow events. Its SDK also processes app-instance identifiers, app version, device and OS information, language and interaction metadata; approximate geography may be derived from network information. We use this information to understand which features work well.
If you enable crash diagnostics, Firebase Crashlytics processes crash stacks, installation identifiers, device, OS, app-version and diagnostic information to help us fix failures. If both options are enabled, approved interaction events may appear as diagnostic breadcrumbs.
Swimee does not send health records, workout values, achievement dates, heart rate, routes, venues, precise location, names, account identifiers, receipts or payment details through these events. IDFA and IDFV collection is disabled. These services are not used for advertising tracking. Optional SDK data is separate from your local swimming history; this app must not be described as collecting no data under every configuration.
6. Service providers and international processing
Google provides the optional Analytics and Crashlytics services. Data you choose to share may be processed in the United States and other locations where Google or its service providers operate, outside your region. Google Analytics and Firebase are subject to their respective terms and data-processing arrangements. See Firebase privacy and security information, Firebase data-processing terms and Google's Privacy Policy. Contact us for information about the configuration applicable to Swimee.
Apple provides Health, Maps, notifications and App Store purchases under its own terms. We do not sell personal data or provide health records to advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information we actually hold if required by applicable law.
7. Retention, withdrawal and privacy requests
Local caches and preferences generally remain until you uninstall Swimee. Google Analytics event and user-data retention depends on the property's configured retention controls; aggregated reports may follow different retention rules. Contact us for the current configuration. Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems.
Turning off usage analytics stops subsequent business events and resets local Analytics data. Turning off diagnostics takes full effect no later than the next launch and requests deletion of pending local reports. Requests already sent cannot be withdrawn. Disabling an option or uninstalling does not automatically erase previously uploaded data.
For access, deletion or other privacy requests, email contact@iiisle.studio with the subject Swimee privacy request. State the requested action and relevant app version; do not send health records. We will clarify any information needed to identify data we actually hold and assess the request under applicable law and provider capabilities. There is no Swimee account profile, and we cannot identify every SDK installation from an email address alone. We will explain any identification or deletion limits rather than promise deletion we cannot verify. Support emails are used to handle your request and retained only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations.
8. This website
This policy distinguishes the app from iiisle.studio/swimee. The website uses the studio's existing Google Analytics integration to measure page visits and interactions; it may process browser and device information, approximate location and cookie or online identifiers. The app's opt-in switches do not control website analytics. Your hosting and network providers may also process ordinary request information to deliver and secure the site.
You can manage cookies through browser settings. See Google's partner-site data information and Google Analytics opt-out information. Contact us using the same privacy email for website questions. The website does not import your Apple Health records.
9. Children and fitness information
Swimee is intended for general swimming fitness users and is not primarily directed to children. Minors should use it with guardian guidance, including permission and purchase decisions. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed.
Swimee's metrics and insights are for fitness reference only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
10. Policy changes and contact
We will update this page and its last-updated date if our data practices change, and update the app's disclosures and App Store privacy information as appropriate. If new optional processing requires consent, we will request it before that processing begins.
