Terms of Use

ZenMonkey is a mindfulness and meditation practice app designed to help users:

• start and track meditation or mindfulness sessions
• record calmness and reflections after practice
• review practice history and statistics
• optionally integrate with Apple platform services such as Apple Health and iCloud

ZenMonkey is intended to support personal practice and reflection.

It is not intended to function as a medical service, emergency service, or substitute for professional healthcare.

You may use ZenMonkey only if you are legally permitted to do so under the laws of your jurisdiction.

By using ZenMonkey, you agree that you will not:

• use the app for unlawful purposes
• interfere with the operation or security of the Services
• attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, disrupt, or damage the app
• misuse Apple platform integrations or related services
• use the Services in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations

You are responsible for using ZenMonkey in a lawful and appropriate manner.

ZenMonkey provides a personal wellness and reflection experience. Depending on available features, you may be able to:

• start free-form or timed meditation sessions
• save practice records
• rate your calmness after practice
• write personal notes
• review your historical practice data
• connect with supported Apple ecosystem features

We may add, remove, improve, limit, or discontinue features at any time.

In other words: software evolves. Sometimes gloriously, sometimes inconveniently.

ZenMonkey may support optional integrations with Apple platform services, including:

• Apple Health / HealthKit
• Apple iCloud
• Apple App Store purchase services

If you choose to enable those integrations, you are responsible for reviewing and managing the relevant permissions and settings on your Apple devices.

ZenMonkey does not control Apple’s systems, infrastructure, or policies.

Use of Apple platform services is also subject to Apple’s own terms, privacy practices, and service availability.

ZenMonkey and all related elements of the Services are protected by intellectual property laws.

This includes, without limitation:

• app design
• interface elements
• visual assets
• product branding
• logos
• text and copy
• software code
• features and functionality

Unless explicitly permitted by law or by us in writing, you may not:

• copy
• reproduce
• distribute
• modify
• sell
• sublicense
• reverse engineer
• exploit

any part of ZenMonkey for commercial or unauthorized purposes.

The monkey may look peaceful. The legal rights are not.

If you send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or feedback about ZenMonkey, you agree that we may use that feedback to improve the product without obligation to compensate you.

This does not mean we own your personal notes or meditation reflections.
It only applies to feedback you provide about the product itself.

We aim to keep ZenMonkey available and useful, but we do not guarantee that the Services will always be:

• uninterrupted
• error-free
• bug-free
• secure
• compatible with every device or OS version forever

We may at any time:

• update the app
• modify features
• restrict certain functionality
• discontinue parts of the Services
• pause availability for maintenance, security, or operational reasons

That’s standard software reality, not betrayal.

While we aim to provide a reliable experience, you acknowledge that digital systems can fail.

ZenMonkey is not responsible for loss of data resulting from:

• device failure
• operating system issues
• Apple platform outages
• permission changes
• sync failures
• accidental deletion
• unsupported device states
• other events outside our reasonable control

If a piece of data matters deeply to you, assume the universe is chaotic and back it up when possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZenMonkey is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• merchantability
• fitness for a particular purpose
• non-infringement
• uninterrupted availability
• complete accuracy of app output, summaries, or wellness insights

We do not guarantee that ZenMonkey will meet every expectation, workflow, spiritual aspiration, or Apple ecosystem edge case.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iiisle Studio and ZenMonkey will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.

This includes, without limitation:

• loss of data
• lost profits
• device issues
• service interruptions
• reliance on app content
• wellness or health-related interpretations
• subscription or sync-related issues caused by third-party platforms

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted.

We may suspend or terminate access to ZenMonkey or certain features if:

• you violate these Terms
• continued access creates legal, security, or operational risk
• required platform services become unavailable
• we discontinue a feature or service

You may stop using ZenMonkey at any time.

Termination does not erase any rights or obligations that have already arisen under these Terms.

Your use of ZenMonkey is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

If these Terms tell you what the rules are, the Privacy Policy tells you how the data side works.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the app or website.

Your continued use of ZenMonkey after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operation of ZenMonkey and iiisle Studio, except where consumer protection or mandatory local laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

If you’re shipping globally, this clause should stay broad unless you later want to localize legal terms by region.
